Alma del Rio, Eco Comfort on the Water, is simply the perfect spot for Chillaxing'. Our Charming and natural Eco-House is Located on the Macal river only 10 min from San Ignacio on the road to the famous Pine-ridge.
The house has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 7 people.
Immersed under huge trees, enjoy the wildlife, pristine views and a secluded river island-beach and swimming spot . Our interior is artfully hand crafted from recycled materials, and is equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay without compromising the environment. We also cook on Bio-gas!
The house is surrounded by a young food forest and has it's own herb garden for your use. Below our house we have a beautiful river island with comfortable access. We offer all the amenities to enjoy our river experience: Cooler, picnic mat, BBQ, bamboo plates, beach towels, water shoes and tubes. Enjoy complimentary handmade soaps, coffee, tea and drinking water . We offer a fully equipped kitchen, a hot and cold shower, board games, a spacious dining table and a lounge area with a great river view. We are Kids friendly!! We do not have AC but we do have a great river breeze most of the time and by passive cooling the bedrooms stay cool during the day.
Our house is environmentally friendly:we solar water heating and energy efficient lighting, together with only green products and minimal plastic use. We strive to make minimal impact on the environment.
